This place is called Playa Rincon or Cano Frio. People bathe right where the cold river runs into the sea. If you go to the beach side you'll feel the cold of the river and the heat of the salty sea hit you continuously from different directions. The beach basically teases you. I don't like to be teased so I just stay in the cold river and enjoy the cooling down.
It is the one place I never forgot from all of my many trips to Samana.
